Founded in 2016, the Black Conservative Federation is the nation's premier hub for Black conservatives, a national organization that develops leaders, shapes policy, and expands the conservative movement one relationship at a time.
Expanding the conservative movement.
Serving as the premier hub for Black conservatives throughout the country, the Black Conservative Federation provides the resources necessary for expanding and sustaining the conservative principles that strengthen and uplift our communities.
Together, we develop solutions for the most pressing issues facing both the Black community and the country as a whole. We were not built to admire problems. We were built to solve them: name the problem, apply practical solutions, expand opportunity, and hold ourselves accountable for measurable results.
Our work spans community engagement, conservative public policy, leadership development, membership, public safety, family and fatherhood, HBCU advocacy, economic opportunity, faith, and civic engagement, carried out by a national team and four regional directors covering all fifty states.

What began as a network of Black conservatives has become a national organization with a policy center, a leadership program, regional chapters, and a seat at the table.
The Black Conservative Federation is founded
Diante Johnson, who ran his first campaign at 19, founds the Black Conservative Federation at 20 with a simple conviction: Black conservatives needed a home, and the movement needed a bridge.
From network to national organization
The Black Conservative Federation grows into a membership organization with regional leadership, endorsed candidates, faith and family programming, public safety initiatives, and a growing presence in national media.
Ten Year Anniversary and the Center for American Opportunity & Excellence
At the Ten Year Anniversary Celebration in Chicago, the Black Conservative Federation unveils its policy center, the Center for American Opportunity & Excellence, and launches the James Fellows Leadership Program's 2026 cohort.
The State of Black America
On the organization's tenth anniversary, September 21, 2026, the Center releases the State of Black America, an official research publication measuring Black America across thirteen arenas of life, built entirely from verified federal and academic sources.
The next decade
The Black Conservative Federation convenes BCF Honors and the Solutions Summit, expands its regional chapters, and carries the Plan for Black America into communities nationwide.

Conservative values are not new to Black America. They are the foundation it was built on.
Three tenets for expanding the movement.
Economic Empowerment
We equip individuals and families with the financial knowledge and tools for long-term success: stable incomes, credit building, budgeting, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and ownership. Economic independence is the surest path to lasting freedom.
Educational Excellence
Every child deserves a real chance to succeed. We advocate for school choice, college preparedness, vocational pathways, and strong HBCUs, and we measure the results.
Community Engagement
We meet people where they are, not just at election time. Voter education, candidate advocacy, faith partnerships, and grassroots involvement at every level of civic life.
We must become the bridge.
You cannot burn the bridge before people have a chance to walk over it. The Black Conservative Federation practices a politics of attraction: outreach before conversion, relationships before asks, and results that speak for themselves.
That is why our chapters are in the community year-round, why our research holds itself to a primary-source standard, and why our door is open to every American who believes opportunity is earned, not granted.
